Acciaroli, incastonata tra le spettacolari coste del Cilento, emerge come un gioiello che racchiude storia, bellezza naturale e tradizione, e fa parte della vasta area del Parco Nazionale del Cilento. È famosa per le sue spiagge (da citare è la Spiaggia Grande, nota anche come “perla del Cilento”) e per il suo mare, tanto da guadagnarsi i riconoscimenti di Bandiera Blu e delle Vele di Legambiente. Un altro motivo per cui questo centro è noto è la longevità dei suoi cittadini: conta infatti un discreto numero di centenari.
Si tratta di un antico borgo di pescatori, e questo si percepisce passeggiando per le vie del centro storico; si narra che siano state proprio le case in pietra addossate agli scogli, i colori delle spiagge o la sagoma solitaria del campanile della Chiesa dell’Annunziata (del XII sec.) ad affascinare Ernest Hemingway. Infatti, è noto che durante il suo soggiorno ad Acciaroli il celebre scrittore americano prese ispirazione per il suo romanzo “Il vecchio e il mare”. L’autore si rifugiava qui, lontano dal fragore delle onde atlantiche e immerso nell’assoluta tranquillità.
Oggi Acciaroli è diventata una località turistica, ma conserva ancora quell’atmosfera pittoresca dei piccoli borghi di mare, con il porticciolo a cui attraccano piccole e colorate barche e su cui svetta una torre normanna.

Acciaroli, nestled among the spectacular coasts of Cilento, emerges as a jewel that encapsulates history, natural beauty, and tradition, and is part of the vast area of the Cilento National Park. It is famous for its beaches (such as the Spiaggia Grande, also known as the “pearl of Cilento”) and for its sea, earning the rewards of the Blue Flag and the Legambiente Sails. Another reason why this center is well-known is the longevity of its citizens: it boasts a fair number of centenarians.
It is an ancient fishing village, and this can be perceived while walking through the narrow streets of the historic center; legend has it that the stone houses built against the rocks, the colors of the beaches, or the solitary silhouette of the bell tower of the Church of the Annunziata (12th century) fascinated Ernest Hemingway. In fact, it is well known that during his stay in Acciaroli, the famous American writer drew inspiration for his novel “The Old Man and the Sea”. The author found refuge here, far from the roar of the Atlantic waves and immersed in absolute tranquility.
Today Acciaroli has become a tourist resort, but it still preserves that picturesque atmosphere of small seaside villages, with a small port where small and colorful boats dock and where a Norman tower stands out.

Acciaroli : le village d’Hemingway

Acciaroli, nichée entre les côtes spectaculaires du Cilento, émerge comme un joyau qui renferme l’histoire, la beauté naturelle et la tradition, et fait partie du vaste territoire du Parc National du Cilento. Elle est célèbre pour ses plages (citons la Spiaggia Grande, également connue sous le nom de « perle du Cilento ») et pour sa mer, au point de remporter le label Pavillon Bleu ainsi que les Voiles de Legambiente. Une autre raison pour laquelle ce centre est réputé est la longévité de ses habitants : il compte en effet un nombre remarquable de centenaires.
Il s’agit d’un ancien village de pêcheurs, ce que l’on ressent en flânant dans les ruelles du centre historique ; on raconte que ce sont précisément les maisons en pierre adossées aux rochers, les couleurs des plages ou la silhouette solitaire du clocher de l’église de l’Annunziata (XIIe siècle) qui ont fasciné Ernest Hemingway. En effet, il est de notoriété publique que lors de son séjour à Acciaroli, le célèbre écrivain américain s’est inspiré de ce lieu pour son roman « Le Vieil Homme et la Mer ». L’auteur s’y réfugiait, loin du fracas des vagues de l’Atlantique et plongé dans une tranquillité absolue.
Aujourd’hui, Acciaroli est devenue une station touristique, mais elle conserve toujours cette atmosphère pittoresque des petits villages côtiers, avec son petit port où amarrent des barques petites et colorées, et sur lequel s’élève une tour normande.

Acciaroli, eingebettet zwischen den spektakulären Küsten des Cilento, erweist sich als ein Juwel, das Geschichte, Naturschönheit und Tradition vereint, und ist Teil des weitläufigen Nationalparks Cilento. Der Ort ist berühmt für seine Strände (hervorzuheben ist die Spiaggia Grande, auch bekannt als die „Perle des Cilento“) und für sein sauberes Meer, weshalb er die Auszeichnungen der Blauen Flagge und der „Vele“ von Legambiente erhalten hat. Ein weiterer Grund für die Bekanntheit dieses Zentrums ist die Langlebigkeit seiner Bürger: Es zählt in der Tat eine beachtliche Anzahl von Hundertjährigen.
Es handelt sich um ein altes Fischerdorf, was man beim Spaziergang durch die Gassen der Altstadt deutlich spüren kann. Es heißt, dass gerade die an die Felsen geschmiegten Steinhäuser, die Farben der Strände oder die einsame Silhouette des Glockenturms der Kirche dell’Annunziata (aus dem 12. Jahrhundert) Ernest Hemingway faszinierten. Es ist bekannt, dass sich der berühmte amerikanische Schriftsteller während seines Aufenthalts in Acciaroli für seinen Roman „Der alte Mann und das Meer“ inspirieren ließ. Der Autor suchte hier Zuflucht, fernab vom Tosen der Atlantikwellen und eingetaucht in absolute Ruhe.
Heute hat sich Acciaroli zu einem beliebten Ferienort entwickelt, bewahrt jedoch immer noch die malerische Atmosphäre der kleinen Küstendörfer mit dem kleinen Hafen, an dem kleine, bunte Boote anlegen und über dem ein normannischer Turm thront.
