A pochi km da Paestum si materializzano le prime cale della graziosa Agropoli. Anche questa città ha uno splendido passato da raccontare.
Arrivo in centro e inizio della visita guidata partendo dalla piazza principale, contornata da numerosi negozi, fino al promontorio dove sarà possibile accedere al centro storico. Il cuore antico, a cui si accede da un monumentale portale del ‘600 attraverso la caratteristica salita degli scaloni, è un trionfo di vicoli, casette ricavate nella roccia e “scalinatelle” scoscese che sembrano tuffarsi nel mare prospiciente. Qui sarà possibile ammirare i principali monumenti quali il Castello angioino-aragonese addossato al borgo antico, costruito nel VI sec. d.C., che si erge in tutta la sua austera bellezza sul promontorio della città, impreziosendo con la sua architettura la già incantevole località cilentana; la chiesa dei santi patroni Pietro e Paolo e la chiesa della Madonna di Costantinopoli. Da qui si gode di un panorama mozzafiato con vista sul Golfo di Salerno.
Possibilità di visitare il porto turistico della città (per chi non volesse salire sul promontorio).

Agropoli: the gateway to Cilento

Arrival in the center and start of the guided tour from the main square, surrounded by numerous shops, up to the promontory where it will be possible to access the historic center. The ancient heart, accessed through a monumental 17th-century portal via the characteristic stepped climb, is a triumph of alleys, small houses carved into the rock, and steep little stairways that seem to dive into the sea below. Here you can admire the main monuments such as the Angevin-Aragonese Castle built against the ancient village, dating back to the 6th century AD, which stands in all its austere beauty on the town’s promontory, enhancing this already enchanting Cilento location with its architecture; the church of the patron saints Peter and Paul and the church of Our Lady of Constantinople. From here, you can enjoy a breathtaking view overlooking the Gulf of Salerno.
Opportunity to visit the town’s tourist port (for those who prefer not to climb up the promontory).

À quelques kilomètres de Pæstum, se dessinent les premières criques de la charmante ville d’Agropoli. Cette cité possède elle aussi un passé splendide à raconter.
Arrivée en centre-ville et début de la visite guidée depuis la place principale, bordée de nombreux commerces, jusqu’au promontoire d’où l’on accède au centre historique. Le cœur antique, auquel on accède par une porte monumentale du XVIIe siècle en empruntant les typiques grands escaliers, est un triomphe de ruelles, de maisonnettes creusées dans la roche et de petites marches escarpées qui semblent se jeter dans la mer en contrebas. C’est ici que l’on peut admirer les principaux monuments tels que le Château angevin-aragonais adossé au vieux bourg, édifié au VIe siècle apr. J.-C., qui se dresse dans toute son austère beauté sur le promontoire de la ville, sublimant par son architecture cette localité déjà enchanteresse du Cilento ; l’église des saints patrons Pierre et Paul et l’église de la Madonna di Costantinopoli. De là, on profite d’un panorama à couper le souffle avec vue sur le golfe de Salerne.
Possibilité de visiter le port de plaisance de la ville (pour les personnes ne souhaitant pas monter sur le promontoire).
Retour en autocar et trajet vers l’hôtel.

Agropoli: Das Tor zum Cilento
Abfahrt vom Hotel zu der Zeit, die bei der Buchung mit der Agentur vereinbart wurde.
Nur wenige Kilometer von Paestum entfernt zeigen sich die ersten Buchten des hübschen Städtchens Agropoli. Auch diese Stadt hat eine glanzvolle Vergangenheit zu erzählen.
Ankunft im Zentrum und Beginn der Führung auf dem von zahlreichen Geschäften gesäumten Hauptplatz, von wo aus es hinauf zum Vorgebirge geht, um die Altstadt zu erreichen. Der historische Kern, zu dem man durch ein monumentales Portal aus dem 17. Jahrhundert über die charakteristischen großen Freitreppen gelangt, ist ein wahres Prachtstück aus engen Gassen, in den Fels gehauenen Häuschen und steilen Treppenwegen, die scheinbar direkt in das davor liegende Meer eintauchen. Hier können die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten bewundert werden, wie das an das alte Dorf angelehnte angevinisch-aragonesische Schloss aus dem 6. Jahrhundert n. Chr., das sich in seiner ganzen stolzen Schönheit auf dem Kap der Stadt erhebt und mit seiner Architektur diesen ohnehin bezaubernden Ort im Cilento bereichert; die Kirche der Schutzpatrone Petrus und Paulus sowie die Kirche der Madonna di Costantinopoli. Von hier aus genießt man einen atemberaubenden Panoramablick auf den Golf von Salerno.
Es besteht die Möglichkeit, den Jachthafen der Stadt zu besichtigen (für diejenigen, die nicht auf das Vorgebirge steigen möchten).
