Sapri & Scario: me ne andavo al mattino a spigolare…

Sapri è la città della spigolatrice, la protagonista della poesia patriottica di Luigi Mercantini, “La Spigolatrice di Sapri“, dedicata alla celebre spedizione dei 300 di Carlo Pisacane che sbarcò proprio qui, dove oggi è presente l’obelisco in suo onore. Sullo scoglio dello Scialandro, inoltre, è stata posta nel 1994 una statua in bronzo raffigurante la Spigolatrice protagonista. È il borgo più popoloso del Golfo di Policastro, nonché l’ultimo centro abitato della Campania prima della Basilicata. La costa che divide Sapri da Acquafredda, primo paese lucano, è meravigliosa. Il Golfo di Sapri è stato apprezzato sia dai Greci che dai Romani, anche se i resti di edifici più antichi risalgono all’epoca dell’Impero Romano. Uno dei più grandi complimenti a Sapri giunse da Cicerone, che la definì “Piccola gemma del mare del sud”. La città della spigolatrice pullula di storia, ma le testimonianze visibili non sono tantissime.
Al rientro, perché non approfittare per una sosta bagno a Scario? Piccola frazione del comune di San Giovanni a Piro, è un borgo marinaro in cui il paesaggio e la natura rappresentano il cuore della sua essenza. Qui la flora e la fauna marina sono ricchissime, tesori tutti da ammirare; la scarsa urbanizzazione ha permesso a questo luogo di restare a stretto contatto con la natura e soprattutto con il mare, sua anima dall’inizio dei tempi.

One of the greatest compliments to Sapri came from Cicero, who defined it as a “Small gem of the southern sea.” The city of the gleaner is full of history, but visible evidence is not very abundant.
On the return trip, why not take advantage of a swimming stop in Scario? A small hamlet in the municipality of San Giovanni a Piro, it is a seaside village where landscape and nature represent the heart of its essence. Here, the marine flora and fauna are incredibly rich, treasures to be admired; the low level of urbanization has allowed this place to remain in close contact with nature and above all with the sea, its soul since the beginning of time.

De plus, en 1994, une statue en bronze représentant la glaneuse a été placée sur le rocher Scialandro. C’est le bourg le plus peuplé du Golfe de Policastro, ainsi que la dernière localité de Campanie avant la Basilicate. La côte qui sépare Sapri d’Acquafredda, première ville lucanienne, est merveilleuse. Le Golfe de Sapri était apprécié tant par les Grecs que par les Romains, bien que les vestiges des bâtiments les plus anciens remontent à l’époque de l’Empire Romain. L’un des plus grands compliments adressés à Sapri provient de Cicéron, qui l’a définie comme « Petite gemme de la mer du sud ». La ville de la glaneuse regorge d’histoire, mais les témoignages visibles ne sont pas très nombreux.
Au retour, pourquoi ne pas profiter d’une pause baignade à Scario ? Petite fraction de la commune de San Giovanni a Piro, c’est un bourg marin où le paysage et la nature représentent le cœur de son essence. Ici, la flore et la faune marines sont très riches, des trésors à admirer ; la faible urbanisation a permis à ce lieu de rester en contact étroit avec la nature et surtout avec la mer, son âme depuis toujours.

Sapri ist die Stadt der Ährenleserin, der Protagonistin des patriotischen Gedichts von Luigi Mercantini, „La Spigolatrice di Sapri“, das der berühmten Expedition der 300 von Carlo Pisacane gewidmet ist, die genau hier landete, wo heute der Obelisk zu seinen Ehren steht. Auf dem Felsen Scialandro wurde zudem 1994 eine Bronzestatue aufgestellt, die die Ährenleserin als Protagonistin darstellt. Es ist der bevölkerungsreichste Ort am Golf von Policastro sowie der letzte bewohnte Ort in Kampanien vor der Basilicata. Die Küste, die Sapri von Acquafredda, dem ersten Ort in der Basilikata, trennt, ist wunderbar. Der Golf von Sapri wurde sowohl von den Griechen als auch von den Römern geschätzt, auch wenn die Reste der ältesten Gebäude aus der Zeit des Römischen Reiches stammen. Eines der größten Komplimente für Sapri kam von Cicero, der sie als „Kleine Juwel des südlichen Meeres“ bezeichnete. Die Stadt der Ährenleserin ist geschichtsträchtig, aber sichtbare Zeugnisse gibt es nicht allzu viele.
Warum nutzen Sie auf dem Rückweg nicht die Gelegenheit für einen Badestopp in Scario? Als kleiner Ortsteil der Gemeinde San Giovanni a Piro ist es ein Küstendorf, in dem Landschaft und Natur das Herz seiner Essenz bilden. Hier sind die Meeresflora und -fauna überaus reichhaltig, Schätze, die es zu bewundern gilt; die geringe Bebauung hat es diesem Ort ermöglicht, in engem Kontakt mit der Natur und vor allem mit dem Meer zu bleiben, das seit Anbeginn der Zeit seine Seele ist.
