Scavi di Elea e Velia: patria di grandi filosofi
Incontro all’ingresso del sito archeologico di Velia per la visita guidata, in orario concordato preventivamente con l’agenzia all’atto della prenotazione.
Gli scavi di Velia per i romani o Elea per i greci rappresentano uno dei gioielli del Parco Nazionale del Cilento e del Vallo di Diano. I resti di questa antica città si trovano nel territorio di Ascea Marina, importante località balneare situata tra Agropoli e Palinuro. La felice posizione geografica di Velia (Elea), situata al centro delle antiche rotte commerciali tra Grecia ed Etruria, la rese molto ricca e potente. I suoi scavi oggi arricchiscono l’offerta di turismo balneare del Cilento costiero. Mare e cultura è il binomio d’oro che ogni località italiana può offrire e che rende unica la vacanza nel nostro paese. Si può rivivere l’emozione di passeggiare tra le strade o l’agorà (il foro) di Velia dove sicuramente passeggiarono anche grandi filosofi della scuola eleatica come Parmenide, Zenone e Melisso. Uno degli elementi di richiamo di questi scavi è la famosa Porta Rosa, unico esempio di arco greco del IV secolo, un vero gioiello dell’architettura dell’epoca.
È importante sapere che: il biglietto di ingresso agli scavi di Velia NON è compreso nella quota escursione perché soggetto a fasce di età e particolari convenzioni che possono riguardare il lavoro svolto o altri casi particolari. Va sottolineato però che con lo stesso biglietto, se utilizzato entro i 3 giorni dall’acquisto, è incluso l’accesso agli scavi di Paestum (la cui escursione con noi è prevista per giovedì).

Excavations of Elea and Velia: homeland of great philosophers
Meeting at the entrance of the archaeological site of Velia for the guided tour, at a time previously agreed with the agency during booking.
The excavations of Velia for the Romans or Elea for the Greeks represent one of the jewels of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park. The remains of this ancient city are located in the territory of Ascea Marina, an important seaside resort situated between Agropoli and Palinuro. The favorable geographical position of Velia (Elea), located at the center of ancient trade routes between Greece and Etruria, made it very rich and powerful. Today, its ruins enrich the seaside tourism offering of the coastal Cilento. Sea and culture is the golden combination that every Italian location can offer and that makes a holiday in our country unique. You can relive the thrill of walking through the streets or the agora (the forum) of Velia, where great philosophers of the Eleatic school such as Parmenides, Zeno, and Melissus surely walked. One of the main attractions of these excavations is the famous Porta Rosa, the only example of a 4th-century Greek arch, a true masterpiece of the architecture of the era.
It is important to know that: the entrance ticket to the Velia excavations is NOT included in the excursion fee because it is subject to age groups and special agreements regarding profession or other specific cases. It should be emphasized, however, that with the same ticket, if used within 3 days of purchase, access to the excavations of Paestum is included (our excursion there is scheduled for Thursday).

Fouilles d’Élée et de Velia : patrie de grands philosophes
Rendez-vous à l’entrée du site archéologique de Velia pour la visite guidée, à l’heure convenue préalablement convenue avec l’agence lors de la réservation.
Les fouilles de Velia pour les Romains ou d’Élée pour les Grecs représentent l’un des joyaux du Parc National du Cilento et du Vallo di Diano. Les vestiges de cette ancienne cité se trouvent sur le territoire d’Ascea Marina, une importante station balnéaire située entre Agropoli et Palinuro. La situation géographique idéale de Velia (Élée), située au centre des anciennes routes commerciales entre la Grèce et l’Étrurie, la rendit très riche et puissante. Ses fouilles enrichissent aujourd’hui l’offre de tourisme balnéaire du Cilento côtier. Mer et culture est le binôme d’or que chaque localité italienne peut offrir et qui rend les vacances dans notre pays uniques. On peut revivre l’émotion de flâner dans les rues ou sur l’agora (le forum) de Velia, où se sont certainement promenés de grands philosophes de l’école éléatique comme Parménide, Zénon et Mélissos. L’un des éléments d’attraction de ces fouilles est la célèbre Porta Rosa, unique exemple d’arc grec du IVe siècle, véritable joyau de l’architecture de l’époque.
Il est important de savoir que : le billet d’entrée aux fouilles de Velia n’est PAS compris dans le prix de l’excursion, car il est soumis à des tranches d’âge et à des conditions particulières pouvant concerner la profession ou d’autres cas spécifiques. Il convient toutefois de souligner qu’avec le même billet, s’il est utilisé dans les 3 jours suivant l’achat, l’accès aux fouilles de Pæstum est inclus (dont l’excursion avec nous est prévue le jeudi).

Ausgrabungen von Elea und Velia: Heimat großer Philosophen
Treffpunkt am Eingang der archäologischen Stätte von Velia zur Führung, zu der Zeit, die vorab bei der Buchung mit der Agentur vereinbart wurde.
Die Ausgrabungen von Velia (für die Römer) oder Elea (für die Griechen) stellen eines der Juwelen des Nationalparks Cilento und Vallo di Diano dar. Die Überreste dieser antiken Stadt befinden sich auf dem Gebiet von Ascea Marina, einem bedeutenden Badeort zwischen Agropoli und Palinuro. Die günstige geografische Lage von Velia (Elea) im Zentrum der antiken Handelswege zwischen Griechenland und Etrurien machte die Stadt sehr reich und mächtig. Die Ausgrabungsstätte bereichert heute das Badetourismus-Angebot des küstennahen Cilento. Meer und Kultur ist die goldene Kombination, die jeder italienische Ort zu bieten hat und die einen Urlaub in unserem Land einzigartig macht. Hier kann man das Gefühl nachempfinden, durch die Straßen oder die Agora (das Forum) von Velia zu wandeln, wo einst sicherlich auch große Philosophen der eleatischen Schule wie Parmenides, Zenon und Melissos flanierten. Eine der Hauptattraktionen dieser Ausgrabungen ist die berühmte Porta Rosa, das einzige Beispiel eines griechischen Bogens aus dem 4. Jahrhundert v. Chr. – ein echtes Juwel der damaligen Architektur.
Wichtiger Hinweis: Die Eintrittskarte für die Ausgrabungen von Velia ist NICHT im Ausflugspreis enthalten, da sie von Altersgruppen und besonderen Ermäßigungen (z. B. Berufsstatus oder andere Sonderfälle) abhängt. Es ist jedoch hervorzuheben, dass dasselbe Ticket, wenn es innerhalb von 3 Tagen nach dem Kauf verwendet wird, auch den Zugang zu den Ausgrabungen von Paestum beinhaltet (dieser Ausflug mit uns ist für Donnerstag geplant).
